The recently completed "Timber Trail", with over 100km of differing distanced trails, that offers the more energetic traveller amazing bike rides through bush, native forest, and over department of conservation land where wildlife and native bush areas are preserved. There is trout fishing, game hunting, or perhaps a game of golf. Forgotten World Adventures, the towns newest tourist attraction, will take you on a picturesque journey over farm land and country side, unable to be visited by car, travelling along disused railway lines in a modified golf cart! Big Canadian log house sited high on a hill with gardens adjacent to spacious deck with undercover five seater spa. Large living area downstairs. Upstairs lounge equipped with childs' toys, books and activities.. Well equipped kitchen with walk in pantry. Up to two well behaved dogs are allowed downstairs, dog sitting available. We are a short drive from both Wanganui, and Kia Iwi beach , we are surrounded by farm land, so enjoy the peace and quiet, but are close enough to enjoy the many cafes and restaurants Wanganui has to offer. Take advantage of the beautiful river, our fabulous river front Saturday markets and our many specialty shops along our gorgeous main street. We have lovely gardens here you can sit and enjoy while reading a book, the only noise is that of the birds and the odd sheep or cow. Relax and enjoy

The mezzanine floor, accessed by a steep staircase, has a sofa, 42" TV , Freeview, DVD, WIFI. An extra 32" TV with Chrome-cast is downstairs.

Braemar House is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, small groups & families (the most fantastic play park for kids is just a few minutes away). We're located just across the road from the Whanganui River & 10min walk from the main shopping street Victoria Avenue. Prices are per room - additional charges for either a cooked or continental (cereal, yoghurt & fruit) breakfast. This room has a queen bed, a small hand basin and a garden view.

Allie's HillTop Haven enjoys stunning views of Whanganui's countryside and the sea from generously proportioned and sunny bedrooms. Allie is happy for you to bring your well behaved pooch! The rooms are on separate levels, one downstairs, one upstairs.

We have recently installed a cedar hot tub, our guests have exclusive use of this anytime during the stay. It is not available to friends or family of our guests.
