The Hughes Family Farmhouse is situated among the rolling hills of the Palouse, surrounded by barley, wheat, and garbanzos. It is conveniently located just one mile off Highway 195, about ½ way between Spokane and Pullman. The Farm is a recognized WA State Centennial Farm. You’ll be staying in the homestead house where the Hughes family originally homesteaded the property in the mid-1800s. Steptoe Butte and Rosalia historic sites are within easy driving distance.

We were told the outbuilding started out as a chicken coop and, over time, it morphed into a people coop. If you’re looking for perfection you will not find it here. What you will find is a comfy little place with a feeling of being in the woods.
