Perfect for guests in the Kern River Valley to sightsee from a secure, private place. THIS CABIN IS NOT FOR EVERYONE-it's extremely rustic. NO WIFI/NO WASHER-DRYER/NO MICROWAVE/NO CABLE. Only heat source is woodstove. 1940 Cabin, originally bunkhouse for lumber mill. At 6500 feet in the tall trees of Sequoia National Forest. Near Kern river(rafting, fishing), hot springs, Trail of the Giants. Alta Sierra is dense neighborhood of cabins with neighbors close by. TWO GUESTS ONLY, NO PARTIES, NO PETS! Only 1 bar cell svs-plus record player/TV/videos/books/games. Heavy snow possible!

This retreat is perfect year around. Entry way has open space , spacious living room opens into an island kitchen -dining area will seat 6 people. 3 bedrooms with 2 trundle beds for guests and a Jacuzzi bathtub Two comfortable couches for extra guest sleeping space. Located in the center of the valley near every activity (Shirley Meadow skiing, Lake Isabella, Kern River, Sequoia National Forest NOT PARK), Note: Resort Fee is Temp Occupancy Tax imposed by Kern County, not my choice.

Hello and welcome to Bluebird Cottage. We are located 1 mile up a dirt road in the Isabella Highlands overlooking Lake Isabella. Our road is bumpy in and steep in areas, but we have never had a guest not make it up here. We are approximately a 3 hour Drive to Sequoia National Park. We are a 2 hour drive from Death Valley National Park. We are a 4 hour drive from Yosemite. We are 3 hr drive from Los Angeles. Bluebird Cottage is a cozy tiny home with a private outdoor space. Incredible views!
