Just minutes from Ballarat CBD and Sovereign Hill, this spacious home offers comfortable living areas, a large private backyard and a quiet neighbourhood setting. Listen out for Sovereign Hill’s historic steam whistle drifting across the neighbourhood, a reminder of Ballarat’s gold rush heritage. Pet-friendly by prior approval. Mingara Park cottage has been lovingly restored to provide a snug & cosy getaway. Sit and enjoy the beautiful countryside & sunsets, curl up and read by the fire place, stroll through the farm and meet our friendly goats and miniature cattle. The cottage is ideal for a week working from your country office, a weekend away for two or to share with family and friends. The kitchen has all you need to cook up a storm but if you prefer the outdoors, light the fire pit and sit out under the stars.

THE COOPERAGE - A Central Historic Holiday Cottage

THE COOPERAGE was built in 1896 for one of the Ballarat Bertie Brewery's finest coopers - John Nice. This 4-bedroom Victorian Cottage is situated on a corner block with beautifully manicured gardens. Over the years, Ballarat's highly sought-after builders extended this house and added an amazing lantern style roof to bring an abundance of natural light in this beautiful home. THE COOPERARE is a short walk to CBD, cafes and specialty shops or a short drive to most of the Ballarat attractions.

Ligar Homestay - comfortable and stylish near city

Guests tell us our house feels homey. We are international travelers with an interest in Ballarat gold history so we have decorated accordingly. When making a standard booking for 1 - 2 people, you have access to the main rooms in the house and one bedroom with a sitting area. If 2+ people are staying and other bedrooms are required, there is an additional fee. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and the third bedroom off the lounge room has a small double (3/4) bed that can be opened.

Set in an idyllic bush setting there are also opportunities to enjoy leisurely bush walks, a bike ride or a stroll to the local coffee shops. Only a 5 minute drive to Buninyong or a 15 minute drive to Ballarat, events and attractions can be easily accessed. Upon enjoyment of these, a return to Rosie’s cottage offers a tranquil stay- with access to free wifi & Netflix
