An historic building in the heart of Carding Mill Valley, a National Trust site. The Old Factory is the oldest building in the valley, in the middle of the Shropshire hills. Hill walks, cycling, star gazing, and wild swimming from your door, then home to the ideal place to relax. There is also a National Trust cafe two doors away, stocked with treats.

It's lovely up here this time of year with huge flocks of starlings, redwings and fieldfares, owls at night and deer coming to the woods' edge on early frosty mornings.

Alternatively, follow the byway as it makes its way towards the Stiperstones. The well maintained paths, bridleways and mountain bike trails offer fabulous opportunities for exploring.
