It is one of several similar properties situated on a quiet and well cared for site that overlooks a field of grazing deer Please note; the lodge is located on a family oriented site and is not suitable for Stag, Hen, or other similar parties. Bookings of this type are not accepted. 4 night minimum for groups of more than 6.

Walking/running/cycling/trails/hills/scenery/fishing/lochs and rivers/castles/road biking/mountain biking/ just relaxing!/amazing food and drink! Idyllic Farmhouse in Stunning Deeside Location

Blackness Farmhouse is a traditional cottage still retaining many of its original features. Bathrooms and kitchen have been modernized, open fires replaced for wood burners and carpeting added to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was our home while we converted the nearby barns into our new house. and although storage was tight for a busy family of 6, we loved our time living there and always felt it would make a perfect holiday home. Self contained annexe in the heart of Royal Deeside. The 'bothy' is a 1 bedroom home attached to our converted farmhouse. Downstairs has a spacious fully-equipped kitchen/living area with sofa bed and log burner. Upstairs is a double bedroom and shower room. Just 6 miles from Ballater, and in the Cairngorms National Park, the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve is on our doorstep with walks and cycle routes. Close by is Tarland Trails 2 mtb centre. Ideal for hill walking, cycling, fishing, or anyone wishing to have a quiet break and explore this special location with its many historical attractions. Scottish Short-term Let Licence number AN-01228-F. EPC rating F although this was carried out in 2015 and the property has been significantly upgraded since then.
