A private island to yourself, staying in an original stone walled lodge situated in 150 acres of forest surrounded by lakes which connect to the River Erne in County Cavan. 2 fishing boats included for up to 6 guests. Take in the view of the lakes and the 12th century Trinity Abbey. Enjoy the private walks around the island, following badger/deer trails, listen to the dawn chorus, meditate, read, write, take photographs, fish, take a trip by canoe, boat or float tube. Afterwards enjoy a sauna.

This cosy apartment is a short walk from ballyhaise village and 6km from cavan town. There is a regular bus into cavan town. It is a perfect place to stay when exploring tourist attractions in the Midlands or going to a wedding in one of Cavans hotels or just for a quiet break The self contained apartment is fully stocked with all kitchen essentials needed for a self-catering break The hosts are happy to answer any questions about the apartment or the local area. This cosy and comfortable house is located on the same grounds as the host in a quiet and tranquil place just 5 minutes from Cavan town. Perfect location just off the main N3 Dublin road. Only a 4 minute drive from the Hotel Kilmore, 5 minutes from Cavan town/ supermarkets/Cavan Crystal Hotel and 10 mins from Equestrian Centre. There are 2 bedrooms, one king and the other bedroom with a double and single bed. All essential kitchen facilities are provided and a welcome pack upon arrival.

A quiet waterside retreat on the Shannon–Erne Blueway, designed for slow stays, river views, and complete switch-off. Reimagined from a former artist’s studio, this is a peaceful open-plan escape designed for two. A king-size four-poster bed sits beside a wood-burning stove, large windows frame the River Erne, and outside a private hot tub overlooks the water (included March-Sept). The jetty is just steps away for a morning swim, a spot of fishing, or to watch the boats go by.

Magical gothic 3 bedroom mini-castle.

The Clonmellon Lodge is an 18th c. gothic mini castle recently restored, newly refurbished bathrooms and kitchen, all in one floor, with easy access to the grounds of Killua Castle. The Lodge can fit 5 people comfortably. There are 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. The first one with an ( American) Queen size bed, and the second with a double size bed. There is an office with a daybed that can sleep an small adult comfortably, and it has a full bathroom next to it.

Cloverhill Gate Lodge

This old stone cottage built between 1830 -1850 is tucked away at the archway entrance to the Cloverhill Estate. This cottage is surrounded by gardens and woodland. The magic of this cottage is undeniable . Originally built for the Gate Keeper this cottage reflects heritage with rustic simplicity. Though some features and fittings have been replaced, the survival of historic features, including the label mouldings and timber bargeboards add to its character and charm.

Drummond Tower / Castle

Victoria Drummond Tower was built as a Folly Tower in the victorian period in 1858 by William Drummond Delap as part of Monasterboice House & Demesne. The tower is regarded as a folly tower built in remembrance of his late mother. Recently restored into a small habitable dwelling and is now available for rental for selected months of the year. A very unique and enjoyable place to stay with a vast range of local & historical amenities at your disposal.

Mary cottage at Tonylion house Kilnaleck

Mary’s cottage at Tonylion house is cosy 2 bedroom, both with en-suite, Kitchen and beautiful sunroom looking out over beautiful mature gardens. Outdoor table and chairs. It’s all electric heating. For very hot days there is Air conditioning in the cottage. Wi-Fi and Netflix, sky Tv on 55 inch screen. The cottage is also run on solar power during the day. * For guests attention: for extra guests ( not stated in booking) will be extra charge *

Peacock House

The Peacock House is located within the Lismore Demesne. It was once the dairy and workers cottage. From the 1980s onwards it was used to house peacocks, giving the cottage its name. After being left dormant for 80 years it was lovingly restored three years ago. These days it is a bright and cozy cottage offering tranquil views of mature trees and park land. There is private access to forest walks along the Doney Stream just outside the doorstep.
