It beats hotel life and is fully stocked with everything you'll need. A nice walk to McCormick park, or to historic downtown Saint Helen's, on the Cloumbia River. Lots of unique local shops to browse and restaurants. A local fishing and river guide is available. Nearby Scappoose Bay Kayaking offers many opportunities to sightsee, kayak or bird watch.

The Carpenter's Cottage

The carpenter's cottage is decorated in vintage woodworking and logging tools that have been used for several generations in our family. Rainier has a rich history of logging, lumber and woodworking. Some tools have been found nearby. Enjoy a peaceful country setting with deer, birds, occasional bobcat, squirrels, raccoons, occasional elk, but is a short walk to town. Watch deer munch on apples and relax in the shade as you walk around our 14 acres or enjoy them from your windows.

Site has multiple river access and walking path. The unit is nicely decorated with living area, dining, bedroom with queen bed and loft with double bed. Property is 4 miles from the town of Kalama where there are multiple restaurants and antique shops. Special events can be hosted at site.
