Swordale Stays, Highland cottage

Swordale is a small, quiet hamlet two miles up the hill from Evanton village. The house is actually part of a converted farm steading consisting of ten cottages, all made of natural stone. Ours is the only one fortunate enough to have a vaulted ceiling and Juliet balcony on the first floor, where the lounge is situated. It has recently been completely, beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. We look forward to welcoming you, and hope you will enjoy your stay here in the Highlands of Scotland.

Highland River Cottage with Hot Tub

A cute and cosy modernised cottage with hot tub surrounded by fields and with a beautiful river at the bottom of the garden. The house is well situated and has a spacious patio and lawn, enclosed garden with access to walks up the river and other beautiful local areas. A good base to strike out for West Coast and Highlands. We recently added a twin room in addition to our double en-suite and king bedrooms. Located in the heart of the North Coast 500. (NC500) makes it an ideal accommodation for exploring the Scottish Highlands for a short or long stay. The Armadilla Pod comfortably sleeps two guests which can convert from 2 twin/ 1 double bed. Cairn Pod is equipped to a high standard with private parking and luxury home comforts.

Our renovated Old School is the ideal location from which to explore Inverness, the Black Isle, and the NC500. Just ten minutes by car from Inverness town centre we are in a beautiful rural location on the Black Isle. Finished to a high standard, our bright and airy property has excellent facilities, and is somewhere you can relax, and use as your base for walking, cycling, or touring. We have a large garden which you are welcome to use, and a secure shed for cyclists to store bikes.

Ideally located at the start of the North Coast 500 (NC500), just 23 miles north of Inverness, and a short distance between Evanton and Alness, it’s the perfect base for exploring the Scottish highlands Located between the Inverness- Wick railway line and the B817 (the old A9), it’s perfect for walking, canoeing, and fishing, or just relaxing.

Luxury Highlands Cottage on the Cromarty Firth

Gem Cottage is a traditionally built stone cottage with modern interior set on the shores of the Cromarty Firth. The cottage boasts a number of creature comforts including wood burner, underfloor heating, sauna, freestanding bath and rainfall shower. Steps from the front door to a picturesque bay and stone beach. To the rear, the cottage has views of the Wyvis range and Fyrish Monument. Sheep graze in the field behind the cottage. On the NC500, only 20 miles north of Inverness.

Culnaskeath Farmhouse Cottage

Culnaskeath Farmhouse Cottage is an extension built in 1993, and blends in with the original house (1860). It's a cozy cottage with a wood-burning stove, two double bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom. The upstairs landing has a desk and single bed. The house has views over to the Black Isle, the Cromarty Firth and across to the Cairngorm mountains in the south. Behind our house are six miles of forest tracks. From these, you can see Ben Wyvis in the west.

Kinkell cottage is quite simply, perfect. A special, romantic one bed cottage that holds so much character and charm, guests never want to leave. The property sits at the foot of Kinkell Castle, an enchanting building that has been lovingly restored, making it a view in itself to enjoy while sipping on your morning cuppa from the front of the cottage. While the castle is close, it's un-intrusive and the cottage feels incredibly private.
