Come and enjoy this fully renovated ranch-style farmhouse with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in a quiet neighborhood. A private fenced-in backyard is great for guests and pets. Sleeps 6-8 guests. Our cozy cabin sits in the heart of Cajun country, about 30 minutes outside of Lafayette. It's a great place to spend time relaxing in the quiet serenity of South Louisiana, or enjoy spending a night or more traveling through, it is located just 8 miles north of Interstate 10. We do not allow pets. The Cabin is all wood inside and has the great cabin smell the minute you open the door. It was built in 2014 by Amish builders in Pennsylvania and transported down by a truck.

The cozy cottage is nestled along the bank of the Atchafalaya River, a few miles south of interstate 10 and half way between Baton Rouge and Lafayette, La. Drive through your own little private swamp as you enter the property before it opens up to the cottage. The front porch is only steps away from the river. Large windows line the front of the home so you will have a wonderful view wherever you’re at. It is a perfect place to relax while surrounded by nature.

Be on the lookout for swamp wildlife right off the deck and enjoy 400ft of water front for great fishing!

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Located on Bayou Manchac on a gated 6 acre estate. The Blue Heron Guest House is a great place to just get away, enjoy nature, canoe (provided), fish the pond or the bayou, birdwatching (lots of birds), etc. The property does have a boat slip and a small boat launch for those who want to explore the area by boat. Bayou Manchac connects to the Amite River nearby. We can’t wait to share our paradise with you!
