The Millstone Retreat is a quiet walkout apartment in the basement of the peaceful home of Mike & Ivana (we live upstairs) that is centered between down town Knoxville & the Smoky Mountains exit 407. Being less than a mile off Interstate 40 at exit 398, offers an easy in & out situation. The Retreat is a uniquely designed experience that combines all the modern conveniences that one would expect in an AB&B with a taste of the past. We feed a variety song birds year around for bird watching.

You are right next to UTK campus, right across from the ag campus. There is a mixture of residents in the building… graduate students and young professionals as well as some older... some retired. The building is about 60 years old... converted from apartments to condos. It’s not fancy. But it is close to lots of things…lots of restaurants…Publix grocery store...biking/walking trails. Downtown Knoxville is a GREAT place to roam, day or night and you are within about 5-8 minutes by car.

Very nice efficiency apartment above a detached garage. With easy access to Highway 162 and 6 miles to I-40. Close to Pellissippi State Community College, Windrock, HawRidge, Oak Ridge ORNL. Within 10 minutes there is shopping and restaurants in Turkey Creek and a 20 min drive to downtown Knoxville. You have your own private entrance, furnished with a COMFY king bed, kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave, washer and dryer. There is a garden, pool, hot tub, fire pit and tether ball!

What began as "hey let's list part of our house on Airbnb", ended up in a full remodel and enlisting the assistance of a professional decorator to create a guest suite in the daylight basement that we now like better than our main house! The suite is spacious, comfortable and very private. From the private pathway to the private patio and the private entrance, and now including the private plunge pool just for your use!
