There are many lovely walks nearby. Blue Springs in Putaruru, 40 mins. Sanctuary Mt Maungatautari, 35 mins and 10 mins from Lake Karapiro and Cambridge with amazing eateries.

Wear covering clothing outdoors for insects 15 minutes from Hobbiton, close to Te Waihou Blue spring and the beautiful Waiwere falls Arriving at night, follow the solar lights.
