Higurashi-sou is a small guest house with 5 guest rooms only. This room is called 'Yamabuki' with the view of kiwifruit vines, which has unique Karakami paper doors with hand-drawn gourd vine and flying butterflies. We can offer 'free bathhouse ticket', Enjoy our bathhouse culture with the locals! We also have other room types, please check our profile for more information. Arashiyama is with its beautiful scenery, the Hozu and Ooi Rivers with its romantic 'Moon-Crossing Bridge Togetsukyo,' the bamboo grove, etc...

KAYABUKI thatched house with IRORI, HORI-KOTATSU & KAMADO-oven ...that used to be old samurai house about 250-year-old. You can get experience real local life by sharing our dairy place, having chat over dinner with us. Pick up vegetables from our farm and take fresh eggs from hens (otherwise from other egg farm) and let's cook together !
