The house stands on its own in a rural setting and is close to the ferry for the Island of Kerrera. The view from the house is over looking the Sound of Kerrera with yachts, fishing boats and ferries passing by. It's two miles to Oban which has a large choice of places to eat. There is virtually no public transport to the house. Taxis are available from the railway station area in the town. Visitors are asked to arrive after 17.00 hours and on the morning of departure to leave by 10.00.

The Bothy Suite by Temple Wood

The Bothy Suite is in the 'hidden village' of Slockavullin , delightfully rural but only 1 mile from the village of Kilmartin with Pub, museum and cafe. Temple Wood and the standing stones are in walking distance with the Crinan Canal a short drive or cycle. The guest accommodation does have a seperate entrance and the whole of the ground floor is for guest use with 2 double bedrooms and modern bathroom consisting of double width shower, sink and toilet. Breakfast is continental.

You can self cater or book bed and breakfast. You will be close to local amenities 5 minutes walk to the Shop & Post Office, 15 minutes from the Heritage Museum and Cafe.

We are within walking distance of public transport links, a shop and local pubs. We have a parking space up the drive in front of the house for our guests.

The Byre is a very comfortable and relaxing B&B in Connel by Oban. Set in a peaceful, rural location in an area of outstanding natural beauty with breath taking scenery. The area is quiet and only approx 3 minutes drive from the town centre, a 10-15 min walk or a regular bus service every half hour throughout the day_ the closest bus stop about 150 mtrs from the house.
