The Studio at Dark Run Retreat

Quiet studio on a secluded 5 acres only 3 miles from town. Kick back and relax by the pool in the warmer months, or in the hot tub in the cooler months. Small trails lead to the creek running along the property, maybe you'll even catch a glimpse of the deer or turkey that wander thru...we've even seen a lil bear once! There is an apartment above the studio, so we ask that you be mindful of those guests if occupied. *The studio got a make-over! As of 10/6/20, we will no longer be hosting pets*

Relax Rest Breathe Welcome to your cozy nook on a 30-acre horse farm near wineries, wedding venues, shops, & historical attractions~ This non-smoking studio apartment features a private deck with a sunrise view. There's a full bath/shower, kitchenette, Hi Speed Wi-Fi, & a smart TV. The kitchenette is stocked with tableware & cookware with refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, & an induction hot plate, drip coffee pot & an electric tea kettle. There is even a small washing machine & dryer.

Quaint, private apartment with many amenities (see below). Rural setting on farm. Short drive to wineries, historic sites, and the quaint towns in Orange, Madison, Albemarle counties. Located conveniently between Charlottesville and Culpeper Virginia. Close to Blue Ridge Parkway. Tour Montpelier and Monticello nearby. Upon request, access to telescope for viewing of stars and galaxies! This property has a separate bedroom, a sofa that opens to a bed in living room area, and a roll away bed.

Our apartment takes you to a place of peace and tranquility. You will find beautiful sunsets and picturesque mornings. In the background you may hear the wildlife which makes it all the more of an experience. There are many places to walk around the farm and get exercise or just quiet your mind. The apartment is located in one barn on the farm from which you can watch the calves romping in the field in spring. The apartment is warm and inviting as I hope you can tell from the pictures.

Unique one bedroom apartment available for short or long term stays! Enjoy use of the kitchenette with microwave, mini fridge, 2 burner hotplate, coffee maker, and basic dish and cookware. Watch the sun set behind Merry Mountain from the porch swing on your upstairs screened porch. This second floor efficiency has its own entrance, and we offer it only when we have no booking for the entire house. It is ideal for the single traveler or for a couple (see romantic features mentioned below). The upstairs porch also lets you watch many farm activities from your elevated vantage point. It’s a wonderful place for breakfast. Full kitchen & oversized bath with whirlpool tub.

Located 7 miles from the beaches and trails of the Lake Anna State Park, close to restaurants yet secluded. Enjoy a kayak, paddleboard, or relax by the firepit. Off the grid feeling with all the conveniences of being close to the Lake action. Includes one bedroom, one bathroom, wet bar with sink, small refrigerator, and toaster oven.
