Secluded, quiet and peaceful, Port Moluag is within easy reach of the Scottish mainland whilst feeling totally removed from the pace and noise of city life. With views across Staffa & the Treshnish Isles, you can watch the sun rise over Ben More and set over Lunga from the comfort of the sofa. We’ve ditched the mod cons with no TV, wifi & phone signal and replaced them with good old fashioned boardgames, a great stack of books and selection of old & new vinyl for the record player.

A haven for wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers, you only have to step outside the door to see hen harriers, curlews, and sea eagles. The deer go down past the house in the evening to feed on the marsh, joining the otters who live there. It is centrally located for exploring the island in every direction.

Bearnus Bothy on Isle of Ulva

Bearnus Bothy has been lovingly renovated using our principle of ecological design to repair, repurpose and use what has been washed-up by the sea. It is one of the last old residences outside of the main dwellings around the Main House on Ulva. As such there are no neighbours until you reach the tiny community on Gometra - where we live - another three miles down the track.
