Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Maison "Hobbit" les petits Bonheurs

Hébergement insolite dans l'ambiance "hobbit" niché au fond d'un jardin sauvage avec vue sur la ville. L'accès se fait par un chemin de randonnée (pentu). Le logement se compose d'un séjour avec cheminée, une petite cuisine, une alcôve pour la chambre, une petite salle de bain, une terrasse avec la vue sur la vallée et la ville (à 1km), et nouveauté, un bain chauffé au bois (hors été) Les bougies et la musique sont à disposition pour l'ambiance Idéal séjour en amoureux ou moment hors du temps!

Inspirados nos contos de J.R.R Tolkien construímos uma Toca Hobbit lindal e hospedamos casais de "todos os reinos"! Venham também! Incluso o café da manhã para 2 pessoas, entregue na porta da Toca. No pet's. "Não era uma toca desagradável, fria e úmida, cheia de restos de minhoca e cheiro de lodo, tão pouco uma toca seca, vazia e arenosa, sem nada em que se sentar e o que comer! A Casa Igarapé é uma cabana ecológica no pé da Serra de Igarapé, feita com terra crua, aço, madeira e cerâmica. Integrada à paisagem, tem varanda e spa com hidro aquecida e vista aberta para as colinas, pôr do sol intenso e céu estrelado, longe das luzes da cidade. Silêncio quase absoluto, quebrado apenas por tucanos e siriemas. Ideal para trabalho remoto com concentração. Entre Itaúna e Inhotim, perfeita para casais de Belo Horizonte e região ou de outras cidades em busca de paz e aconchego.

The 30 sqm studio is located within the main house, has a separate entrance, private deck and parking with EV charger. Local ideal para amantes da natureza e pessoas que apreciam o lado sutil da vida. O espaço fica encravado na serra da Mantiqueira, cercado por floresta, aromas da mata e som de cachoeira. Durante todos os meses do ano a natureza mostra o seu encanto, entre os meses de April e Setembro faz muito sol e de Outubro a Março as chuvas aumentam o volume dos rios e um banho de cachoeira torna-se praticamente inevitável.
