Time passes slowly on the stoep with its expansive view of the Roggeveld mountains and treacherous Ouberg Pass; slower still when bird watching at the dam or gathered around the fire pit on a starry night. Situated on a working farm with livestock and springbok, 2 hrs from Matjiesfontein and the Tankwa padstal, 90 minutes from Sutherland.

Ymansdam Self Catering Cottage

Ymansdam is situated next to the Tankwa Karoo National Park at the foot of the Roggeveld Mountain, about an hour's drive from Calvinia on the R355. The fully equipped self-catering cottage is ideal for 2 people. The cottage has an en-suite bathroom, small kitchen as well as a veranda with a fireplace and a splash pool. No electricity at the cottage. Guests can also choose a unique campsite that have ablution facilities. Visit Ymansdam and taste, experience and smell the lovely Karoo.

The 4-sleeper has a room with a double bed, gas heater and shower-only bathroom. Guests need to bring bedding for the pull-out double sleeper couch. The kitchenette has a 2-plate stove, indoor braai and a Dover stove. The unit does not have electricity.
