There are numerous walks directly from the cottage, up the Wrekin and in the adjacent Ercall wood. The cottage is ideally located for visiting the Ironbrige area, and the Welsh boarders. As well as being a short drive from the business centres for those travelling for work purposes.

The School House, a charming 200-year old cottage.

Marnwood School House is a beautiful holiday cottage with bags of charm. The cottage dates back 200 years, where it was originally used as a school house for the poor but Reverend Bartlett in 1824. The property has been fully restored to an excellent standard, whilst still retaining its period character. The property is just a few minutes drive from Ironbridge, which offers lots of attractions and activities for all ages, as well as great places to eat.

Situated in Jackfield, just down the Severn river from Ironbridge, this charming four-bedroom terraced house set-back from the river, was converted from an old tile factory. Newly renovated, it offers a wonderful base from which to explore the Ironbridge Gorge and museums, and to enjoy the Shropshire countryside. The Museum of Iron & Enginuity are both just a short walk away, where the ruins of Abraham's original furnace still stands. The Coalbrookdale Arms is a friendly local pub, the Furnace Kitchen is great for breakfast with Ironbridge's many bars & restaurants close by.
