The property backs onto the Kauaeranga River, a beautiful clean flowing river with an idyllic swimming hole at the end of the property. The majestic Pinnacles walking track is at the end of the road. The cottage is just 5km from the centre of Thames township; everything is nearby, including the popular Hauraki Rail Trail which is a 3.5km cycle from Bakehouse Cottage.

A comfortable drive away are the east coast beaches, including Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. Just 1 hour 20 minutes from Auckland International Airport.
