Over 2 miles of wooded trails on property for guest use. 15-20 min walk through woods trails (part of this walk is on a hill) to access Rockfish River.

Welcome to La-de-da! We are located in beautiful, rural Howardsville, Virginia with convenient access to all the recreational amenities the James River has to offer. We are a VERY scenic 35 minutes to Wintergreen, all the wineries, breweries, distilleries and orchards in the region and great hiking trails! We are far enough outside of the cities of Charlottesville and Scottsville to provide peace and quiet, but just a scenic 20 minute drive to Scottsville and 40 minutes to Charlottesville.

Whisper Creek! Located in the foothills of the Shenandoah Mountains. This Lower Level Suite will provide you and friends with the perfect place for back woods peace and quiet. Located one hour from UVA, Wintergreen, numerous Craft Beer Pubs and Wineries. This includes numerous choices for hiking. If canoeing and kayaking is your interest, I am located a short distance from several launch sites. I am willing to shuttle vehicles and assist in getting you where you wanna be.

Enjoy a cozy mountain cabin getaway located in the heart of Nelson County. Perfect for couples, friends, or singles, the Refuge at Laurel is 25 minutes from Charlottesville and a short drive to the wineries, breweries, distilleries, and orchards on Route 151. Take a hike through the mountains on the many trails bordering the George Washington National Forest. Or, work from the home office with included fiber Internet.

Hawkwood House King Bedroom

Hawkwood House is close to Charlottesville, VA. It is in a 100-acre wood. Two guests share downstairs bedroom. Guests may use upper floor only with prior arrangements. It is a very quiet, peaceful setting. It is located near historic sites from colonial times of the United States and the Civil War and near Charlottesville VA and homes to three early US presidents (Monticello, Ash Lawn and Montpelier).
