The Hay Barn

We have expansive unspoilt National Trust Nature Reserve views and gardens, a lovely setting to relax and wake up to. Perfect for walking too. Spend the evening enjoying a BBQ or gazing into outdoor open fire. With free parking, we are ideally based for Crosby Beach, Formby Golf Courses, Aintree Races and Liverpool.

‘The Shippen’ is our barn conversion, once part of a small dairy farm. High beamed ceilings give a spacious, rustic feel, and the double sided log burner makes the living spaces cosy. With easy access to the main bus routes and Waterloo Street train station (a 3-minute walk away), guests can easily travel and explore the city! Waterloo offer great walks along the sand dunes or alternatively why not try the local red squirrel walking trail exploring woodlands.

Waterloo/ Crosby has a fantsastic array of bars,restaurants and shops all within a short stroll, or hop on the train to Liverpool city centre (15 minutes) or 10 mins to the National Trust’s stunning Formby pine woods.

Crosby makes for a great day trip from nearby Liverpool while others choose the town as a tranquil base from which to explore the area. With a strong connection to the Irish Sea, Crosby is popular among locals for its marina – a hot spot for diverse wildlife – and Crosby Beach, home to the iconic Another Place art installation.

My apartment is contemporary, compact and very comfortable. The property is situated in Blundellsands which is quiet and leafy. Adjacent to Liverpool to Southport railway line it's a 7 minute walk to train station (Liverpool in 20 mins, Southport in 25 mins). Gormley's Iron Men and beach 10 min walk, 3 min drive. Plenty of good bars, eateries, shops and supermarket nearby. High chair and travel cot on request. Garden shared with our super friendly Springer Spaniel.
