Welcome to our peaceful farm in the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The farm is ideally situated for you to explore the beautiful East Devon countryside, less than 5 minutes from the A30, and only 25 minutes drive from the coast. Your well appointed private studio flat includes a king size bed, en-suite bathroom, sofa, TV and kitchenette. It has been recently refurbished, with new furniture. Breakfast can be served to you in the flat, for a little extra, available on request.

The Old Workshop @ Swallows is an extended single storey barn dating back to the 1880’s. It has been sympathetically renovated to bring it up to 21st century standards with electricity generated using our solar panels. Superfast fibre broadband 500mgb It is surrounded by stunning rural views and is very quiet. Sumptuous, cosy and welcoming are just a few of the words that describe this charming escape. The Old Workshop is situated within an AONB and is tucked away in the courtyard of our barns.

A grade 2 listed 5-star converted granary. Bright and airy, with upstairs sitting room and kitchenette, with feature oak beams. Views of the historic courtyard and the Axe River valley. Downstairs is a large double bedroom, on-suite shower room, and built-in washing machine. A sunny area outside for relaxing with coffee or wine. 5 minutes drive to the beach and cliffs at Seaton, 10 minutes to the fishing village of Beer, 10 minutes to Sidmouth, and to Lyme Regis. It's a great base for walking, cycling, touring, shopping, eating and drinking ...and curling up in front of the log fire. Sidbury village is a 20 min walk away. And Sidmouth, on the Jurassic Coast, is just a 4 mile drive. A few days at Filcombe will leave you relaxed, refreshed and keen to come back!

We are located between north and south coasts so stunning beaches on hand as well as two national parks, Exmoor and Dartmoor.

North Barn on the banks of the River Dart

North Barn is an 18th century stone building, bursting with character, set on the banks of the River Dart. Originally a corn collection point, North Barn has been renovated to a beautiful, romantic ‘one-room-living’ self-catering space. The atmosphere is fresh and light, with skylights that make even the dullest of days seem bright. The patio doors open up on to a large deck area overlooking the river from an elevated height thus giving you great views across the River Dart.

The Cider Barn - a perfect place for two

Many years ago, this barn was used to press the apples from the farm's orchards to make cider. Now, thoughtful and creative restoration has turned it into a very special place for two, peacefully situated on our family-run organic dairy farm. Sitting high above the Culm Valley it has stunning views of our farm and the surrounding countryside and is perfectly placed for exploring the beautiful north & south coast, Dartmoor & Exmoor National Parks. Lovingly converted spacious barn in a gorgeous courtyard setting, we have kept as many of the original features as possible. Extremely well equipped with super king bed and amazing walk in shower, the kitchen has everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There is plenty of outside space and you are welcome to make use of the all weather tennis court, bicycles can be provided so you can explore the local area.
