Rose Cottage is a 150 year old Grade II listed property, located within the Durham City conservation area. It is ideally situated for guests to enjoy the many attractions of this historic city, including the Unesco World Heritage site of Durham Cathedral and Castle, Durham University Museums and Gardens, riverside walks and an abundance of eateries. Rose cottage offers guests stylish, comfortable accommodation with quality furnishings, a small furnished courtyard and complimentary guest parking.

This beautiful 1857 stone build cottage has recently been fully furnished with a contemporary touch, Perfectly located in the heart of Bishop Auckland, within walking distance from the town centre, our cottage is in a prime location for exploring the best of Bishop Auckland. With parking directly outside the property (street parking) and a cosy back yard. WiFi & virgin tv, Netflix & prime are available. This recently converted self contained private detached modern annexe is located within 15 minutes walk of Durham City centre with its world class University and Cathedral and is great for both holiday and business travellers. The Annexe is in the grounds of our larger house occupied by us, situated at the end of a private road near to Durham City centre. The annexe is totally self contained and has its own allocated parking space next to it together with private decked area with Cathedral views

Located in a beautiful fishing village, just a few minute walk to a stunning coastline and beaches, the village has great restaurants, cafe, Blues micro pub and a friendly pub ‘the jolly sailor’. 5 minute walk to Latimers fish restaurant, then further along the road is seaburn with plenty bars and restaurants, a stunning beach. There is buses from the village to Sunderland and South Shields. Why not walk along the stunning coastal path to South Shields or over cleadon hills with stunning views.

To the East we have the coastal town of Seaham Harbour, to the West we have Beamish Museum, County Durham and Northumberland
