Sadler's Cottage is a renovation of the old stables dating back to the 19th century, completed to a high standard. Very convenient with easy access from the A1079, York Centre is located 3 miles away. Dunnington village is within walking distance with great amenities, a pub, hairdressers, chemist, supermarket & bakery. Hagg Wood is beautiful to visit and is at the end of the lane. This ground floor studio is located in a converted warehouse within the city walls. It was converted in 2018 so the interior is in great order and the exterior looks onto water views. With a 5 minute walk to the main historic area/main shopping area and a 2 minute walk to major supermarkets, the studio is well connected. Wifi included. Short distance to Air Museum and Elvington Airfield (parking for York University open days). Elvington has a shop, pub and gastro pub in neighbouring village. PLEASE NOTE long, dark, uneven path to access cottage, not suitable for elderly/mobility issues.

There is also a wood burning stove to keep you cosy. We are in a quiet village called East Cottingwith: a fantastic base for visiting York and touring Yorkshire. Ideal for cyclists, bird watchers, walkers and anyone who wishes to enjoy a rural location close to the attractions of the city of York. There is no regular public transport.

It’s the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire dales, Skipton and Ilkley or taking in the beautiful Yorkshire coastal towns of Whitby,Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and lovely market towns of Helmsley, Malton.
