Hillcot, A room with a view.

Hillcot was originally an old stone cottage which has been lovingly renovated to the highest standard. The cottage stands on an elevated spot with outstanding views in all directions. We are literally 5 mins walk from the ocean on a quiet lane, mainly used by locals. This is a pebble beach and a great place to observe the seals as they bask in the sun awaiting scraps from the nearby fisheries. Our garden is south facing, a relaxing area to enjoy some spectacular sunsets, weather permitting.

This period holiday cottage is in the old stable block of Carrowkeel Glebe House and was the first part that we renovated it a few years ago. It is on the Mulroy Bay side of Fanad with Murrin hill to the rear. Conveniently located just 1 mile from Tamney (Tawny) village and 3 miles from Portsalon, with Ballyhiernan, Ballymastocker and Drumnacraig beaches all within 10 minutes drive. Min 3 nights stay. Fully equipped kitchen, complimentary tea & coffee and some kitchen basics oil, flour salt pepper. Dining area, sitting room and ensuite double bedroom. Shower room downstairs in our antique shop which is opened 1-5 during the summer months.
