Our spacious and secluded guest suite is in the perfect location to enjoy all that beautiful Charleston has to offer. Nestled in a quiet suburb, we’re less than a ten minute drive to the Battery and historic district of downtown, and a fifteen minute drive to Folly Beach. The suite was built in 2023, and includes a multitude of amenities for your perfect trip. With beautiful floor to ceiling windows, the view has sweeping oaks and mature magnolias, setting the scene for your Southern getaway.

Private Suite - Between Folly Beach & Downtown

Guest suite 5 miles from both Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. Maximum occupancy: 2 guests of any age (including infants and children). Living room, kitchenette, bedroom (queen Casper Hybrid mattress), full bath, large deck. No pets or smoking. 2 TVs with many streaming services included (no cable). Fully permitted and licensed by the City of Charleston for short-term rental (OP#06936). As required by City regulations, we live on the same property, with our home connected to the suite.

The Garden Folly Guest House

Our architect said, “this is NOT a garage, it’s a Garden Folly!” Our Guest House has a bird’s eye view of the rose covered pecan tree and a vista of the marsh and the Wappoo Creek. When we rebuilt our 1930's garage we saved all the beaded siding and pine floor. My husband enjoyed incorporating many design elements and creative ideas. It was quickly becoming the Taj Garage. We decided it was just the kind of property we enjoy when we travel, so, Voila! we decided to share it with you!

Comfortable living room with a sofa, two chairs, TV (Firestick only), kitchenette with small dining table, refrigerator, microwave, and convection oven for your use. Wi-fi available.

Private room over garage of my home w/ a SEPARATE entrance. Large rm with a sitting area, KING size Bed and a full bath. Keurig coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator with a freezer provided. In the historic Riverland Terrace neighborhood. A short Uber ride to downtown Charleston ( less than 15 minutes ) and about 15 min to Folly Beach.

The private driveway will easily accomodate your vehicle as well as a boat trailer should you decide to bring your own boat. Sunny Spot is 7 miles from Folly Beach and about 7 miles from downtown Charleston. It is also very close to John's Island where some excellent restaurants and breweries can be found.
