Atelier an enchanting French studio

Atelier was inspired by painting holidays in France. It is a spacious studio at Hylands providing a base for escape, rest and adventure. It is cosy with a wood burner, uses high quality materials throughout, curated with love and care. Surrounded by beautiful gardens to explore, where you can dine al fresco or just sit and watch the wildlife and the ever changing views. It's 12 minutes walk to Kendal's many independent shops and restaurants, and 5 minutes to our local pub, the 'Riflemans Arms'.

The perfect base for a relaxing break — ideally placed for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, with shops, eateries, cosy pubs and Winder Hill on your doorstep.

The Old Potting Shed, cosy retreat with hot tub

The Old Potting Shed is a romantic hideaway for two set in the walled garden of the owners' house with its own private entrance. The retreat is totally secluded, but still just a minutes walk to Sedbergh's lovely pubs and cafes. It's the perfect base: head out walking in the hills straight from your door or use our electric bikes to explore the quiet lanes. When you get back, soak in the wood fired hot tub and enjoy a drink on the terrace while admiring the wonderful view of the fells.

Bousfield Barn a 'stunning place to stay'

This recently renovated barn is in a country setting a mile from Orton village in the Westmorland Dales bordering the Lake District National park. Approx 5 minutes from J38 &39 of M6, in easy reach of Orton village’s amenities of pub, cafe, shop, chocolate factory and local farm shop. Ideal as base a for exploring the local area or a stopover en-route to & from the north. Dogs welcome with enclosed garden and walks from the doorstep. Bulls Close Cottage

Bulls Close Cottage is situated in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales village of Austwick, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Close to Settle, The Three Peaks & Kirkby Lonsdale. This charming cottage (an annex attached to the main house) has a private terrace and outdoor seating area for those warm summer evenings. The cottage has WiFi and sky TV, a fully equipped kitchen. Towels, hairdryer, and soaps are provided and when it’s cold, the underfloor heating keeps you snug!

Siskin cottage is solar powered and semi detached, with plant lovers gardens front and back. There's a wildlife pond full of frogs and numerous bird feeders. Seating areas encourage you to enjoy the tranquility. A shed for bike storage & parking for two cars. Inside natural light is celebrated with a light decor and glass doors. Downstairs is tiled throughout, ideal if you arrive a bit damp and great if you're bringing a dog! Well equipped kitchen and a piano!
