River Cottage Near Loch Lomond
River Cottage is a detached riverside property located in the quiet village of Croftamie on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This charming cottage has been finished to a high standard and enjoys lovely views over rolling fields. The spacious decking area overlooks the river "Catter Burn" and is an ideal vantage point for watching the abundance of local wildlife. As an added bonus, free riverside fishing is available from within the grounds of the cottage and there is direct access onto open fields. The open plan living space has two large sofas (one being a sofa bed, making it possible to accommodate up to four adults). The kitchen area is fully fitted with table and chairs for dining. Local amenities are available in Croftamie, including a pub renowned for its delicious food and a number of small shops. Preferred lets are Saturday 3pm to Saturday 10am on a self catering basis, however if you wish to enquire about any dates/times outwith this or a short break then please contact me and I will try to accommodate you if I can. We are delighted to welcome dogs as long as they bring their own beds, are not allowed on furniture and not left unattended. Worth noting that we have chickens roaming freely and the cottage is surrounded by fields which have livestock. We charge Β£10 per dog, per night and this can be paid at check in. Our cosy garden cottage with bedsit, kitchen-diner and log-stove is the ideal base for exploring the Trossachs/Loch Lomond National Park, Glasgow, Stirling and Edinburgh. Located in scenic, rural Kippen, we are a 5 minute walk from shops, post office and two award winning gastro-pubs: The Cross Keys and The Inn at Kippen. A busy farm shop with a Deli counter and cafe is on the outskirts of the village. Kippen was listed as one of the 20 best villages in Britain in the The Times newspaper.

The Anchorage, Arrochar, was built circa 1913 and has been newly upgraded in December 2019 giving the cottage a luxurious interior with gas central heating and beautiful wood burning stove. Two ensuites and a beautiful bathroom provides guests with plenty of room whilst the large garden with pizza oven and BBQ has amazing views where guests can relax on the decking or seek shade in the lean to. Everyone can use the fire pit, games room or play area to keep occupied or use the Kayaks provided.
