The beach is a few minutes walk away & a little further on is the seaside town of Aldeburgh with its many attractions including shops, pubs, restaurants, art galleries, museums, theatre, golf club, yacht & sailing clubs, fisherman’s huts & much much more.

Crane Lodge is in a private garden set back from the main house in a secluded wooded area 5 minutes from Orford. This is a perfect peaceful retreat for those looking for a getaway amongst nature on the Suffolk Heritage Coast - a perfect base to explore nearby Snape, Aldeburgh and Southwold. Our place is a short walk to all local amenities, e.g. Tesco's, Waitrose, good restaurant and takeaway options and a lovely wine bar. The room is self contained with a basic kitchenette, bathroom and private entrance. The private patio as well as being a place to unwind and relax, is big enough to hold bikes if you want to explore the area on 2 wheels. We are a 5 minute walk from Saxmundham train station. Close to lots of lovely places to visit, and only 15 minutes to the closest beach.
