The hosts Michael & Toby and their dog Heidi live in a barn conversion at 50m distance and can help with anything you may require during your stay. Several footpaths are nearby, leading to pubs, gardens, and a hotel with a new spa. Nearby Horsham offers everything to be expected from a pretty English market town. Brighton is 20 minutes by car. Since the property is in rural Sussex, it is best to have a car at one’s disposal. However, short distances to venues such as Leonardslee and South Lodge can easily be reached on foot or by a 5-minute taxi ride.

The Piggery, Henley Hill

The Piggery is a beautiful self- contained, detached converted Piggery set in landscaped gardens as part of Verdley Edge and nestled between Cowdray woodland and the stunning South Downs. With walks from the doorstep and an award winning country pub ‘The Duke of Cumberland’ in walking distance, this is perfect retreat from busy lives. Oakwood Lodge

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Oakwood Lodge is a converted barn on a working farm. It is set on the edge of wheat fields and nestled in amongst a woodland area. I do allow dogs, they are most welcome. The outside space is secure for them to roam freely. There’s no grass, only gravel out the front and Woodchip bark out the back. The back has been left as natural as possible. There’s some nettles and brambles to be aware of, I do trim them back so they shouldn’t be an issue.

The Stable - boutique rural retreat for two

A beautiful stable conversion within the gardens of Walnut Tree Cottage - a 15th century Tudor thatched cottage. Finished to the highest standards to provide light, airy and spacious accommodation. The Cottage at Grittenham Farm is a beautifully restored 17th Century milking parlour. It contains a lovely open-plan living room and kitchenette area, a stylish double bedroom and a luxury bathroom. Gorgeous gardens to relax in. Situated at the foot of the South Downs, perfect for lovely walks. The River Rother is 10 minutes on foot and offers magical wild swimming. Close by are picturesque towns of Petworth, Midhurst & Arundel, while the beaches of the South Coast are a 30 minute drive.

Our beautiful converted Granary is just across the courtyard from our farm house and is totally self contained. It is a huge open plan room with exposed beams, wooden floor, rugs, an extremely comfortable sofa bed, a mezzanine with two single mattresses suitable for agile extra guests, a kitchenette and a lovely shower room. There is an enormous bookcase which guests are welcome to borrow from during their stay and a equally large flat screen TV with Sky, Netflix etc
