Welcome to Aquila Cottage which is located directly on the Hadrians Wall Path, Pennine Way and Hadrians Cycleway Route 72. The cottage is in an unparallelled location just 150 yards from "the best bit" of Hadrians Wall at Walltown Crags and directly opposite the Roman Army Museum. There is parking for 1 vehicle as well as a bus stop right (services include AD122) outside. We are perfectly located for walking, visiting the historical sites along Hadrians Wall, Lake District & Scottish Borders.

Picture windows to take in the stunning countryside and wildlife from every angle. Bedroom has a en-suite, second toilet in the cloakroom. Raised patio including seating area to gaze across the valley with steps down into small garden. The cottage is surrounded by historic countryside filled with many heritage sites

Set in a lush green valley with hills to wander around and pet lambs to feed, quaint little streams, the beautiful enclosed valley with its miniature waterfall and dark skies is delightful. All just minutes from Hadrian's Wall. Explore wonderful Northumberland, the Lake District to the West is an easy drive as is the Pennines to the South and Scotland to the North.

We have excellent walking and cycling from site. The Pennine way is a field away, two disused railway lines, Lambley viaduct and riverside walks. Nearby is the market town of Alston, Penrith and the north lakes, Barnard Castle in Teasdale. Stanhope in Weardale. Hadrian's wall, Hexham, Brampton and Carlisle

Peaceful and ideally located 17th Century cottage in Haltwhistle. Offering two bedrooms and one Bathroom upstairs and a fully equipped kitchen and living room downstairs. Perfect stopover for visiting the local historic sites and overlooking the 13th Century Church. Ample free parking within a 2 minute walk. Plenty of pubs, takeaways and two supermarkets also within a couple of minutes walk if you need any provisions. NOTE from 28th Sept 2025 the second bedroom is twin single beds.

This former farmer's cottage situated in Northumberland National Park has recently been totally refurbished. We also have a smaller cottage next door, which is listed separately on Airbnb, if you have a large party of guests wishing to get away from it all! About 1.5 miles from Hadrians Wall and around 4 miles from the local town of Haltwhistle which is merited with being the Centre of Britain. We are a fully working farm, around a 1000 acres, and have cows and sheep.

Free pick up after 5pm from Steel Rigg and free drop off before 9am. Dog friendly too.

The Snug a self contained studio flat with it's own access separate from the main house It has a living/sleeping area, kitchen/dining area and shower room. The Kitchen is fully equipped with fridge freezer, oven, kettle etc, and all of the kitchenware you will need during your stay. The Bedroom can sleep up to 2 adults. Bedding & towels are provided. wifi & Netflix

Paul welcomes you to Hillside studio Apartment, close to Hadrains Wall. This studio has 2 single beds or double, plus a sofa bed in a self contained open plan living area. A short walk to local pubs and cafes. Free Wifi available. Washer/dryer and private parking. Studio is opposite family home. Electric car charging point available, charges applicable.
