Tucked away on the outskirts of sleepy Lympsham, enjoy the countryside around you whilst resting your legs after walking the renowned mendips. Enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the many birds in the surrounding trees or be a little more adventurous with the numerous local cycle routes. We look forward to meeting you on your stay. Or climb the renowned 'Pen-Y-Fan' (Brecon Beacons) just a 30 minute drive away. A stone throw away from the local historic town of Neath, where you can explore the area or catch the train to the City of Cardiff in just 35 minutes. Nearest beach is a mere 8 miles away :-)

The accommodation is a self contained en-suite accommodation in a quiet semi rural location. It has a large private balcony to the rear of the property which is a perfect sun trap overlooking ancient woodland . Here you can relax while listening to the sound of the water running in the brook below. There is also a separate private patio area on the ground floor for al-fresco dining together with a BBQ for guests use. There is secure storage for cycles and other equipment on the ground floor.

No 1 Cathelyd Colliery Stables is a dog friendly property renovated from a pit pony stables. Next door, No 2 is slightly larger and can be booked separately on Airbnb. There are walks on the doorstep being next to the Cwm Clydach bird reserve and the cottage has its own private valley walk with a waterfall. We are situated 3 miles from J45 of the M4 with easy access to Swansea, Gower and the Brecon Beacons. The Swansea Cycle path is on the doorstep. The town is a mile away.
