Boise boasts the largest Basque population outside of Spain. Every five years the Jaialdi celebration is held in Boise (next in 2022 due to the pandemic) and it's a must-do event. You can get your history fix at the Basque Museum and Cultural Center any day, though!

Poke your head in here to learn about the Basque history in Boise. The entire Basque Block is great including the Basque Market, Basque Center, Gernika etc.
