“El Parián” (which means “The Market”), began as a commercial passage in 1883. After the 1985 Mexico City earthquake it was occupied by the earthquake´s victims, then it became a market.

No puedes perderte de una caminata en este pasaje restaurado y rehabilitado. Lugar de encuentro para los Estridentistas (movimiento artístico de vanguardia). ¡Su actual estilo contemporáneo te hará sentir en otro país! Como nota: antiguamente se le conocía como El Parián al mercado principal de la ciudad construido durante el Virreinato (1535 - 1821) Se encontraba ubicado en lo que hoy es el zócalo capitalino.

Ubicado en el corazón del corredor cultural Álvaro Obregón, este pasaje comercial existe desde que se inauguró la colonia, sin embargo ha sido remodelado para encajar con las necesidades modernas de la zona. Aquí podrás encontrar diferentes tipos de tiendas que van desde ropa hasta cafeterías, pero lo más notable son las tiendas que contienen artículos de diseño mexicano contemporáneo, ya que son un reflejo de lo que se está creando actualmente a nivel cultural.
