It doesn't get much better than this! Small plate style of menu. Excellent wines! Very high end food with prices to match! This is our regular Valentines and New Year's restaurant. Quiet, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Really, Really good food!

Rustic charm with an open kitchen, Chalkboard sits in Hotel Le Mars right in Healdsburg Plaza. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! Warm focaccia starts the meal off right followed by a crudo of the day which was a delicious trout with avocado, puffed rice in a citrus vinaigrette. Wow! The bartenders also make an amazing Negroni!

Chalkboard is both upscale fine-dining and still a super fun place to go with a group. The small plates are made for sharing and are both delicious and creative. This is also a great option if you have vegetarians in your group as there are lots of yummy choices to choose from. The outdoor patio in the back is a particularly lovely setting for brunch or lunch – and the room inside is stylish and plush. They also have a full bar and a wine list that features a nice selection of wines by the glass. And, check out the wonderful happy hour Sunday-Friday from 4:30-6:30pm – Chef McAnelly creates a special happy hour menu of theme inspired nibbles, changing it up every 6 weeks or so.
