Ample Indian grocery store with lots of traditional food items & spices, plus a quick-serve cafe. We also get this one for take out/delivery.

A short drive, but completely worth it if you enjoy a little spice. Cholle Bhature is the puffy bread that you'll want to order. They also have a great grocery attached to the restaurant if you any of your culinary needs.

amazingl good indian food - very inexpensive ,cafeteria style, no liquor license. a legend. SF Chron has it among the 100 best restaurants in Bay Area .

Another iconic Berkeley restaurant serving Indian street food. Highly popular with locals. It's a madhouse, but the order line moves quickly and by the time you find an open table, your name will be called to pick up your food. Highly efficient. An experience you'll never forget and will tell your friends about when you get back home.
