Our peaceful cottage is located at the bottom of our garden, reached by a private lane less than 200 yards from the centre of Haddington. Haddington is a historic market town 20 miles east of Edinburgh and has good public transport to the city. Located in East Lothian and 20 minutes drive to the many beaches and golf courses. There are several restaurants, pubs and coffee shops within an easy stroll. The cottage is self-contained with private parking in a relaxed, quiet setting.

We sit directly on the river bank and walkway to Haddington and East Linton and a bus link directly into Edinburgh in 45 mins. We are around 15mins drive to the coast and North Berwick.

This little house is on a hill in one wing of a gorgeous stone-built house at Hillhouse Farm Escapes. The cottage is called Hernie Cleugh. It's a perfect place for chilling out, being outdoors, accessing Edinburgh, and moseying around Border towns. Cosy & modern, lovely open plan kitchen & lounge. Dog friendly. The larger house next door is also available - it's listed as House on the Hill.
