Entrance hall, one main bed-sitting room with table for eating/ working, own shower room and kitchen. Use of EV charging point by arrangement. There is no TV.

Oxford station is a picturesque and quick 5.6km cycle or hike away through the Oxfordshire countryside. Surrounded by beautiful trails plus some wonderful pubs to enjoy such as the Farmers Dog just 30 mins away. Cosy, independent guest suite with its own entrance, located in the heart of the scenic village of Marcham. 🏡 Easy access to country walks, head next door to enjoy a bustling English pub with luxury food vans on select days. Oxford city centre is 9 miles away, and Abingdon 2 miles away. We have a little bus stop near the house with 2 buses every hour. Didcot train station can get you to London in just 35 minutes :) We are located within easy reach of the Cotswolds!

The Studio House

This incredible modernist studio in Oxfordshire was initially designed in the 1960s by the renowned architect Philip Dowson of Ove Arup and Associates. This studio belonged to the sculptor Franta Belsky, known for creating large-scale abstract public art and iconic statues and busts of notable 20th-century figures, including Winston Churchill and members of the British Royal Family. Many of his original works are still housed in the studio.

Tucked away in a peaceful and secluded setting, this stylish self-contained guest annexe offers a perfect countryside escape in the heart of South Oxfordshire. Ideally located between the historic village of Dorchester-on-Thames, home to the renowned Dorchester Abbey, and the picturesque Clifton Hampden, famously described in Three Men in a Boat as “wonderfully pretty, old-fashioned, peaceful, and dainty with flowers.”

The annexe has tastefully been converted from a double garage into a modern 1 bedroom open plan apartment that can comfortably sleep 4 adults. The annexe is situated at the bottom of our 80ft x 33ft garden, has it’s own patio (a trellis partition across the patio allows for extra privacy) with table and chairs for outside dining. Please note, the property is not suitable for children under the age of 5.

Peaceful garden views offer the perfect home from home for those visiting the area, or staying for work. Close to Harwell Campus, Milton Park and the Diamond Light Source. 2 miles from the historic market town of Abingdon-on-Thames, with easy access to Oxford & Didcot Parkway rail station; 45mins to London.
